Times Three is a dynamic vocal trio that brilliantly recaptures the magic of the 1940s Big Band era and Hollywood's glamorous Golden Age. When they decided they needed to upgrade their website, they chose Eyetopia Design, and we delivered a comprehensive and elegant site. In addition to designing the website, Eyetopia Design also created their logo, visual identity, and a number of printed promotional materials.
Eyetopia Design created a logotype for Times Three that is reminscent of 1940s style typefaces, yet avoids being a merely nostalgic throwback. The slight offset of the second line of type imparts a more modern feel, and overall the simple letterforms convey solidity while the gently angled serifs suggest gracefulness.
Eyetopia Design incorporated the logo into a complete identity kit for Times Three, including designs for letterhead, business card, mailing envelopes, 9 x 12" document holder and 4 x 6" postcard/mailer. The letterhead and business cards featured a slightly raised type on the logo for a gentle tactile sensation, and the document holder was correspondingly embossed with the logo. The overall design motif contains a gentle sloping arc featured in several of the materials.
Postcard / Mailer
To promote upcoming concerts, Times Three commissioned a 4 x 6" postcard / mailer that incorporates the complete business identity in a graceful photo design. The overall design also mirrors the Times Three website interface designed by Eyetopia Design (click here for more information on the Times Three website design).
Interface Design / Website
The business identity was extended to the Times Three website at timesthree.org. The subtle arc appears on both the home page and the secondary pages, and both the font preferences and color scheme are included.
